July 25 presentationTheme: About my work

I will talk about my work today .

I was born as the eldest son of a sign maker’s father.
Since my childhood I have been told by my parents that “You are the second generation of a sign shop.”
I wrote in the elementary school graduation collection that “If I grow up I will become the president of a sign shop”.

Then I became a university student, and I was only part-time job.
I did part-time jobs at pachinko parlors, restaurant bars, game centers, dump drivers and convenience stores.

I had the dream of studying abroad in London when I graduated from college,
However, I had no money at all, and I was wondering what to do, my parents suggested that “you should study in Tokyo for a year.”
So I worked for a year as a trainee at the head office of a company called Shiseido Parlor in Ginza, Tokyo.

The Shiseido Parlor’s main office building is located from the 1st floor to the 5th floor, and contains 4 restaurants run by Shiseido Parlor.
The 5th floor was a high-quality French restaurant, and the pudding has costed 5,000 yen.
Christmas cake was sold for 20,000 yen.
Third floor, two croquettes were selling for 2500 yen.

I worked at a shop on the first floor. So I was selling cakes and food.

Entertainers also came well.
My first customer service was Bunta Sugawara.
Chisato Moritaka, who I liked at the time came, but I was too surprised to see her.

Before I came to Tokyo, I was probably so bad, but I think it was refined little by little.

And one year has passed.
I didn’t want to go back to Shimane because Tokyo life was so enjoyable,
However, I had no money and I could not go there, I returned to Shimane and joined my father’s company Nishimori Kanban.

Since joining my father’s company, I have always skip my job.
I was working in sales, but while I was at work I went to a pachinko, went to a bookstore to read, and was driving without a hit.

I still liked to design using a PC.
The design at that time was either handwritten or black-and-white, but using the just-opened Windows, I printed out the design of the sign in color and made a proposal to the customer.

Over time, I was motivated little by little and I began to think about what “I could do to make more money from the company.”

One day, I went to the lecture of the president of a sign company in Kyushu.
The words I heard there changed my mindset.

The word was “Please take care of employees”.

At that time my father’s company employees were mostly craftsmen, and they were all complaining.
I have never thought of taking care of them.

My parents didn’t really trust their employees too.

Then, by participating in study sessions hosted by the president of Kyushu, and reading a book from the president, my awareness gradually changed to employees.

Then I got into conflict with my parents.
Parents never accepted the idea of taking care of employees.

After a while, I became the president of my father’s company.
However, my parents had control over the company, and I could not decide the salary of the employees.

My parents stopped doing what I was trying to do for employees.

As management’s thinking was not settled, the internal atmosphere got worse and the company’s performance got worse gradually.

I was very troubled.

That day, I told my father that you should retire.
My father was ill at that time and was almost bedridden.
My father said he wanted to retire. But my mother did not allow me to give over management.

I told my father, “Please choose me or my mother”.
Then, surprisingly, he chose my mother as a president.

And he said to me:
“You may leave this company”

I was very shocked.
I thought that I was a necessary person for my father’s company.
And I had a dream to make this company fine.

But my parents denied me and my dream was broken.

I was depressed, but I can not let the employees get lost.
I worked hard to rebuild my company, but the business performance was getting worse.

I thought “Everyone will be unhappy in this situation.”
So, I made up my mind, and told that to my father, the president.
It was the day after my birthday when I was just 40 years old.
This day was the turning point of my life.

Half a year later I resigned as president and I left the company.
All smartphones, cars and PCs were returned to the company.
I also had some shares, but I returned it.

After graduating from university, I worked in Tokyo for a year and then joined my father’s billboard.

After working for 18 years, quit the company and I created a new company in Izumo’s home bedroom in July 2012.

I had almost no savings, so I made four credit cards before leaving the previous company. I thought that I would borrow from there when my money ran out.
And I purchased a 100,000 yen laptop computer with 10 loans.
With a laptop and only one table,

After a while, I bought a used desk and a chair.

GLOBARC is a company that designs and produces signboard.
In particular, we are focusing on signboard that can attract customers.

The signboard has a tremendous power.
Many patients came to come only by renewing the signboard of the dentist who did not come at all.

Location, facilities, people are the same, only the signboard has changed.
In addition, there is a BBQ restaurant whose sales have increased by 20% each year just by changing the signboard.

Here are some of the signs that we made.

Last year, Our company received a bronze award in the Urban Ad section of the Shimane Advertising Award. The signboard of our company which the design company exhibited has won the gold prize.

GLOBARC’s name is made by connecting “global” and “arc”.
The meaning of the name is “The signs connect the shops and people, and the connection is spread around the world.” and “I want to work around the world,”

At that time, I borrowed a battered minicar from my friend’s car shop for free.
The car had a broken horn, and suddenly the horn rang and it didn’t stop.

When I got home at midnight, my car’s horn stopped working, so I used to drive my neighborhood until it stopped.

I became independent to create a company that makes employees happy.
However, it is difficult for employees to work in the bedroom at home.

In addition, if I work hard at Izumo, I will batting with my father’s company and close each other’s neck.

So I moved to Matsue in 2014, one and a half years after I became independent.
That’s Agenogi office right now.

Every year one employee increases and now we work with 4 people.
And we plan to increase one employee this year.
Please introduce if there is someone good.

I am very happy now.
My father died three years ago, but now I am reconciling with my mother and supporting her.

We will develop and grow our company more and create a company that makes our employees happy.
